Pastor Louie Delgado's Testimony
A New Life:
Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV)
But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved.
Pastor Louie's Testimony:
I gave my life to Jesus Christ over 20 years ago and have never been the same! I have never been the religious type and still do not care to be viewed as religious. Let me explain...One of the biggest things that kept me away from turning to God were the people who claimed to know God. I noticed, before my conversion, that too many were simply religious. People would look like they were close to God on Sunday's and lived like the devil Monday through Saturday! I was already living like the devil Monday through Sunday...so why give that up for just 1 day and be a hypocrite?
Another reason that I don't like religion is that men get into a power trip and simply want you to lace their pockets with gold as well as wanting to place a burden on you that they are not even willing to bare. Christ came to give us life and that more abundantly! He also said that His yoke was easy and His burden was light...so His desire is for you and I to come to Him initially for salvation and daily for the peace that our lives so desperately need within this fallen and evil world.
Ephesians 2:1-10 is one of my favorite verses and reminds me daily that even though I "used to be" someone who only cared for myself and wanted to live life without rules...I now have a more fulfilling life with the guidance of God's Holy Spirit and His Word...the Bible.
